1. First-Time Love
Not the Brenda/Dylan, Cory/Topanga, Joey/Dawson kind. We’re talking about the love that you get
from businesses for being a first-time customer!
Chicago seems to have mastered this.
Prove it? Ok...
Ex. 1 Fitness: Barre Bee Fit, Chicago’s amazing barre workout studio, offers first-time
classes for only $8, and an entire month for new clients at just $80 (vs. the
regular $125)!
Ex. 2 Beauty:
Lauren recently called a yelp-load of nail salons to book a manicure/pedicure and found that when she asked for the price, at least 75% offered a
first time customer deal! Looks like all
you have to do is ask!
We're inspired!

Smart, beautiful, engaged to a very funny man—the law of
“that’s not fair” says we should hate you, but we don’t...not even a little!
We loved getting this article in our inboxes! Punchy and well-written. With a birthday around the corner (not quite 30, but close enough) this struck a chord. We like the message here, and we definitely
like you.
3. Breaking the news...with puppies!
Do other people do this or have I started something? For the past few months, I’ve been texting
“bad news” via puppy pictures. (Nothing actually earth shattering, think: running late, leaving the bar without saying goodbye, canceling appointments...) Using some crafty apps and my instagram puppy friends, I crop, sticker, and text anything I want on a puppy. People can’t be upset when it comes from one
of these guys...
Even works for peer pressure...
Happy Hump Day!
Nothing softens the blow of bad news like a fat puppy. Great idea! But, also, just be on time for things.
